8 & 9 April at El Warsha at 7 pm
‘Le Prince Séquestré’ , a 60-minute performance, follows an encounter between two friends who haven’t seen each other in years and who do not recognise one another in a world that is changing for the worse.
With one of the characters presented as a clown in an attempt to personify cultural miscomprehension, the performance is ultimately a story about change, intimacy and the profound effect of history on our lives.
The performance is by Compagnie l’Entreprise & El Warsha. Written & directed by François Cervantes.
Cervantes is a play write and director. He founded Compagnie L’entreprise in 1986, and as the company’s artistic director, he seeks to use theatrical language to reflect today’s world.
He has created more than thirty shows, performed in France and throughout the world. Cervantes and Hassan El Geretly, founder of El Warsha Theatre Company, began their collaboration with the aim of building a bridge between artists on either side of the Mediterranean.
The play is in Arabic
Entrance is free so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
