It is finally December, and with the Christmas parties slowly approaching, it’s time to crack open the glitter and get glammed up for party season. From bold smokey eyes, to a glamorous bold lips, everything is acceptable.

Cranberry Crush

If you have short hair, you should 100% take this opportunity to show off your lovely facial features and try something bold with your makeup. A vivid cranberry lip and shimmery shadow plus winged eyeliner look stunning with simply, mussed-up hair.

Simply Glowing

For those who want a polished look but don’t like to wear a lot of makeup, wear a sheer pink on your lips, a wash of pink blush on your cheeks, and a little liner plus two coats of black mascara on your eyes.

Aqua Shine

Try an unconventional color on your eyes for the holidays. Make brown eyes pop with a shimmery blue or green shade, then blend it out into a deep black color. Finish the look off with a nude lip to balance out the standout colors up top.

Glitter Lids

Make your eyes stand out in a simple, subtle way by adding a pretty streak of glittery liner just above your lash line.

Simply Rosy

If you’re wearing a high-impact gown in a bright color, you don’t need to match your makeup in intensity, should you prefer a subtler look. Stick with warm pink cheeks, a rosy lip color, and a very thin cat eye plus mascara.

Smokey Eyes

You can never go wrong with the ultra-glam smokey eye look; the perfect way to make a bold statement against a plain dress. Why not try adding a little gold glitter to a bronze smoky eye, or silver against a darker smokey eye, to add a little festivity to your makeup.

Colored Eye Liner

This season, don’t just stick to the simple black liner; why not try some colors to help your eyes pop. For those with green eyes, a purple liner is perfect, whilst those with brown eyes can try a teal glitter liner, underneath the eyes. Soft violet and brown tones against blue eyes provide a gorgeous contrast, ensuring your eyes are the main attraction. Tip: When wearing bright liners and shades around the eyes, try to keep the lips and cheek a little softer.

Dark Lipstick

The classic vamp look has continued past the Halloween season and into the festivities. Darker lipsticks provide an ultra-glam look, perfect against that little black dress or sequin number, a glossy glittery berry lip is perfect for adding a little shine to lips.

If there is any occasion where it is acceptable to add a little shimmer and glow to our makeup regime, then the festive party season is definitely it. Highlighters have been a huge trend so why not add a little shimmer or highlighter to your cheek bones for your Christmas party? The trick is to illuminate to where the light naturally reflects on your face, i.e. your cupids bow, cheekbones, along the narrow line of your nose and across your forehead.

Rosy Cheeks

The colder months have definitely brought out a natural rose to our cheeks, but rosy cheeks are also a perfect makeup trend for this season. After applying makeup, why not add a subtle pinky sweep across your cheeks for an extra boost of color. Tip: For those wanting a more natural look, then try a cream pink blush.

Winged Liner

The classic cat eye look is a trend seen throughout every season, especially for the more glamorous occasions. For those looking for a more muted and nude look, why not try adding a thin winged liner to add a little glamour.
